I like the way the writer makes it sound like it’s the Republicans’ fault the filibuster no longer exists. Oh, it is. Harry Reid only eliminated the filibuster for lower court judges, not for SCOTUS justices. ‘There was no SCOTUS vacancy at the time he made that switchero. But of course he wouldn’t have invoked the nuclear option for a SCOTUS pick even if there had been such a vacancy. You can take Harry Reid’s word for that . . .
