Thats what I was telling people earlier. The military takes an especially dim view of officers who pork the wives of enlisted men. That is pretty much always a dishonorable discharge.
if there’s no chain of command conflict, adultery is often not pursued, there’s a lot of commander’s discretion in what gets pursued in the UCMJ. Also, if he’s a reservist, things get a little more difficult to determine because the UCMJ may not apply if the officer was not on duty status, whereas active duty personnel are always on duty.
That said, barracks lawyers aren’t looking into this, actual JAGs are, and despite the name, there is nothing “Uniform” in the UCMJ. There’s really no way to know for sure what happens until it does because a politically connected officer plays by a different set of rules than an insurance agent who suits up as a buck sergeant one weekend a month.
