Hey there, Albion. I remember that rally. Sadly I think the band and support staff outnumbered the crowd.
At first, maybe; but it filled in pretty nicely before the event was over.
One memory sticks out in my mind: some young students had come by out of curiosity and sat on the grass near the back. When the National Anthem was played, they remained sitting, with their elbows resting on their knees. A grizzled old veteran walked over to a guy and his girl companion and said, Get up! Stand for the National Anthem! And they did!
(Wouldnt happen today...)
I remember seeing some of the NC biker veterans there who also used to ride up to stand with us at the old Walter Reed from time to time.
