Amen to that. I had the newer shingles vaccine, Shingrex, and I got very sick with high fever, severe chills, and my arm got red and swelled up quite a bit. Also noticed that my lymph nodes under both arms really swelled, and it took a long time for it to go away. That was after the first dose, the second time wasn’t as bad. Still, from what I hear that’s better than getting shingles.
I also get sick every time I get a flu shot. Lasts for a couple of days, with about a 102 degree fever and aches and chills. I’ve only gotten the shot a few times, when really pressured by my wife. Funny thing is, I can’t remember the last time I even got a cold, much less the flu, EXCEPT for the years that I got a flu shot. Most of those times I later came down with something, though it was never serious.
The first shingles shot, I tolerated well. This new one, I went home sick with the first dose and felt sick on the weekend with the second. The 2nd Hep B, given to me because I work in healthcare, made me want to throw myself on the floor and sleep at work. Terrible.

Shingles is the most miserable disease the devil ever inflicted on man. It’s not possible to experience more intense pain.
