I find it difficult to accept much of what the SF Chronicle says.
While I can understand the concern from the Secret Service about doing something “impulsive”; but my guess is the driver and other folks said, “Sure, that would be cool.”
I hardly believe it was impulsive.
The SS doesn’t do anything half assed. If Trump brought this up, you can bet your butt they canvased the area the night before, swept the entire street, randomly checked the crowd outside...
And I bet not a one was like, “I don’t know, sir. I’ve been less than 6ft from you since last week and I’m afraid to ride in a car with you.”
Why didn’t the press have a fit over the helicopter ride?
