After an exhaustive investigation, authorities in Madison, WI, say there’s not enough evidence to prove four white men lit a biracial woman on fire. According to investigators, she wasn’t even in the city when she says the attack happened.

the fact that these “hate hoaxers” don’t spend any time in jail just sets the stage for far more crimes.
Charging someone for a hate crime hoax that they’ve committed would be a REAL “learning moment” for those people. Someone having to serve the sentence of the hate crime itself would bring about some “real learning.”
