The “Lincoln Project”, using Lincoln’s name to boost the democrat party. Makes me think of the Lincoln Brigade from the U.S. which fought for the communist side in the Spanish Civil War. At least the communists side called themselves ‘Republicans’, so at least the name made some sense.

What's in a name? It's all cosmetics. Same reason they call it the PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC of China when it's anything BUT a republic run by the people.

History has some odd twists. O.G. commie Karl Marx wrote columns in support of Lincoln for Horace Greeley’s New York Tribune, the “official” newspaper of the Whigs and GOP. A number of his fellow ‘48er revolutionaries helped found the GOP and held positions in the Lincoln administration and the Union Army.
