President Trump on Friday evening tweeted a pre-recorded video message thanking Americans for their support as he battles COVID-19, the first time he has been heard from since sharing news of his diagnosis.
"I want to thank everybody for the tremendous support," Trump says in the 18-second clip, tweeted moments after he arrived at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
"I think I’m doing very well but we're going to make sure that things work out," he added. "The first lady is doing very well. So thank you very much. I appreciate it. I will never forget it."
The president's brief remarks were the first time he has spoken to the public since he revealed early Friday morning that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, which has infected more than 7 million people in the U.S. and killed more than 205,000.
The video clip was released just after Trump had been seen for the first time since his diagnosis when he left the White House to walk to Marine One for the short flight to Walter Reed. The president wore a mask, flashed a thumbs up and a wave to assembled reporters, and made his way to the helicopter under his own power.

I think that’s it. He doesn’t know how to relax, which is why I never begrudge him his occasional golf game.
Meanwhile, “celebrities” and “athletes” are dancing on Trump’s grave already. It’s discouraging how vile some people can be.
Yesterday It concerned me that President Trump announced he was positive for Covid and I was thinking how good he’s been looking, except him sweating the other night, and how he’s going to be just fine and he’ll be back to his old self in no time. It will give him time and the opportunity to communicate to us through his Twitter feed and other venues. That would have been fine, but now. Him going to Walter Reed gave me a drop kick in the gut. To think if anything ever happened to him now, of all times. All I can do is pray harder and more, and scrape up a few bucks to send to him. Lord Jesus have Mercy on us and our nation and Heal Donald Trump.
Caution is fine. An abundance of it is even better.

he got the regeneron ab experimental drug along with asa, vit d, zinc abd famotidine. my guess is the several day hospitalization is for remdesivir
his voice is strong. speaking in complete sentences. no supplemental oxygen and no evidence of respiratory distress. He would not be admitted if he wasn’t the president

In Feb. ‘93 my woodstove backed up and gave me smoke inhalation pneumonia.
I didn’t go to the doctor or anything else.
In late March, I started to get a bit blue in the lips and fingers and couldn’t breathe right.
Finally went to the ER.
Hooked up to a slew of tubes and oxygen.
Three days later, Himself comes by and asks “Is it normal for your dog to not eat, drink or pee?”
[OMG!]
I sat up, pulled out all the tubes and hoses and split.
Should’ve stayed the full ten days but hey, *dog*.
I fully understand why they made him go to the hospital.
Like me, he’s one of Those People.
