A 29-year-old with a lengthy arrest history was released without bail on an assault and robbery case — only to mug a 93-year-old man in Lower Manhattan a month later, according to police and court records.
Ahmad Tucker was arraigned on robbery and assault charges Wednesday after his latest scrape with the law, with police reporting that he knocked the elderly victim to the ground in Lower Manhattan and stole $30 and the man’s MetroCard.
The victim was counting the money outside of 274 Grand St. when he was attacked on Sept. 28, according to court records.
Tucker was arraigned from the Bellevue Hospital prison ward, where he was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, prosecutors said.

Ahmad needs his teeth kicked down his throat, his fingers smashed, and gelding. And the people who made it possible for such a deranged criminal like him to be released, the same.
Tucker already had another case hanging over his head at the time.
According to sources, Tucker has 22 prior arrests dating to 2009, including burglary, robbery, assault, and fare beating, with five of the cases later sealed.
Tucker’s Legal Aid Society attorney did not return a call seeking comment.
Wonder if the judge decided no bail was to be imposed as the article stated the perp had a case pending?
