What was the margin in 2018?
People forget that Walker almost won despite a very favorable electorate for the rats in 2018.
It was something like a 50k margin.
For Wisconsin 2016:
Trump 1.4053 million
Clinton 1.3825 million
Trump won by almost 23,000 votes in Wisconsin.
I will never understand registering to vote. Unless you turned 18 within the last 4 years, how in the world are all these people NOT registered? How out of touch with reality do you have to be to just say “who cares”, or “my vote doesn’t matter”, or “I’m too lazy”.
Good question. I assume a lot of those are people who moved into the area - we don’t have that information.
I know about 2016, Im curious as to the change in the registration margin from 2018 to 2020.
It’s hard to compare a mid-term to a presidential year honestly. I will post but that be more an apples to oranges comparison.
And the people who are registered but don’t vote:
“in 2016, there were 2.4 million eligible whites without college degrees who didn’t vote in Pennsylvania; 2.2 million in Florida, 1.6 million in Michigan and 872,000 in Wisconsin, according to estimates compiled by the Cook Political Report”
“Thoughts? On a scale of importance, would this be about a 5 to 6?”
Wisconsin is a bit tricky because voters don’t register by party. But I’d say the numbers are positive. In the battleground states, the vote will be close.
Well definitely shows all-virtual campaigns are stupid.
