Yeah, they will. As I said, the average life span of a restaurant in NYC is five years, so they come and go all the time during normal times.
When things go back to normal, and they eventually will, those spaces that are already prepped for kitchen vent hoods, etc., will become prime real estate again for the next hot chef that wants to open his own restaurant.
Have some faith in your fellow man, even if they do reside in a liberal-infested hell hole like NYC.
