I’m a geologist...there’s plenty of lead in North America. Leadville Colorado was the lead capital of the USA in the 19th century. Nevada is also loaded with lead deposits as it Utah and Colorado. The EPA is the reason our lead mines are shut down not lack of resources. The best bullets don’t have lead in them anyways they are monometal alloys. Barnes, Hornady, Berger just to name a few all their best most efficient high BC bullets of match grade accuracy are all monometal lathe cut bullets. I personally load 7mag, 300WM, 338LM, 25_06 and 30_06 not a single bullet going down my pacnor barrles have any lead in them. For range level plinking with 9mm lead free fmj are the way to go no one wants to breath lead dust inside the new green fmj also do not lead up your barrels and I can load 9mm lead free fmj cheaper than I can buy even before the panic of Wal-Mart 115gr white box leaded fmj. Simply put the days of lead in bullets is coming to an end.
Thanks for the information on bullets! Very interesting.
