Ever since President Donald Trump tapped Vice-President Mike Pence to lead the White House Coronavirus Task Force at the end of February, he has presided over more than 340 briefings including 35 governors’ briefings, with over 156,000 state, local, and tribal participants. He has discussed the federal government’s strategy of deploying financial resources, supplies, and technical assistance. He has coordinated the delivery of critical PPE, and helped ramp up testing for states, localities, and tribes. He has stressed the importance of implementing best practices for slowing the spread of the virus, and has spoken at great length about the safety procedures and guidelines for reopening the country. He has discussed strategies that will allow students to safely return to school. He has provided county-by-county summaries, analysis, and recommendations to governors, and has updated them on the progress of vaccines and therapeutics. Yet, even after all the time that Pence has spent working to keep the country safe, the vice-president’s commendable effort has largely gone unnoticed. Instead, it has been overshadowed by a media that has politicized Trump’s handling of the virus in a brazen attempt to undermine his support with the American people.
Throughout the pandemic, the vice-president has clearly and carefully articulated the White House’s Coronavirus Task Force’s strategy to the public, during press conferences and at other public speaking events. He has maintained a calming presence and has struck the right tone between empathetic and optimistic. At a press briefing on June 30th with members of the Coronavirus Task Force at the United States Public Health Service Headquarters, Pence said, “Our message to every American in the states that are most affected by rising cases and rising positivity rates is: We are with you.

I humbly disagree. I have been disappointed in Pence’s management of the task force. We’re still stuck in Covid Hell all these months later largely because he failed to grasp the fact that MESSAGE CONTROL was going to be his most important task. Instead he totally dropped the ball, allowing CDC stat-padders and Tony Fauci to go rogue.
How does one respond to the accusation that the USA has one of the highest mortalities in the world: Over 200,000 and counting?

The Harris/Biden campaign is as dead as Tupac, the greatest living rapper alive today. Joe didn’t do himself any favors last night. Neither did POTUS, other than refusing the Ryan treatment and giving Wallace/Biden the verbal beatdown of their lives. Nobody cares about debates now. Good. I’m sure VP Pence will do a good job. Will probably (mercifully) be the last debate.
Mention how many were as a result of putting Covid patients in nursing homes in five Dem-run states.

Just do simple math. Divide by population and compare to almost every other industrialized nation.

Is “the world” using the same methodology of counting Covid deaths? If not, there is no basis for apples to apples comparison.

The numbers are BS but they did nothing substantial to dispute them and it’s way too late now. So yes, it is a problem.
I just consider this whole response to be a farce. We flattened the curve months ago and it’s time to take the Sweden path. Anything else is just stupid. We’ve pretty much destroyed western civilization. It just doesn’t know it yet. Give it time.
We’re like a car on an infinite road trip and, though we have a full tank of gas, we just closed all the gas stations down the road. It will not go well next year, regardless of who wins the election. The election will only determine how we respond to it when the car comes to a stop - in the middle of death valley.
Pence is immaculately refined in a debate setting. There will be no loss of control on his part. There will be no getting him off message. He will be laser focused every moment on the talking points and messages he’s chosen to convey on any topic they can think of to ask about. He is unshakeable.
I haven’t seen Harris debate before, but if there’s any hole in her game, Pence will find it and lay it bare in a painstakingly careful and logical manner. I haven’t been thrilled with his time as VP (and I say this as someone who years ago really wanted him as president), but you cannot beat the guy in a debate. Best Harris can do is keep up with him. And she’d have to be really good to even do that.

The CDC already came out with a formal paper saying that only about 10,000 people have died from COVID-19 and all of the rest 100% of the rest had other conditions and the virus just put them over the edge such as cancer heart disease diabetes you name it
Pretty much the only bludgeon that the media is going to try to use is the Covid crap and it’s complete nonsense considering the incredible mobilization that President Trump did
We also have all the democrat idiots on tape tried to fight him the entire way saying all kinds of stupid things all through February and March and April

Well, He and Trump need to answer this charge because IT WILL COME UP IN THE UPCOMING DEBATES. This issue was brought up in last night’s debate by Biden and Trump’s response was essentially — I don’t think you can do better, Joe.
