For the few minutes I had the fortitude to tune in, it seemed that Trump had all the bullet points on every subject in his head, and would throw them out willy-nilly. He was determined to say what he needed to say, was afraid he might not have a chance to say it, so blurted it out.

If he had been patient, he would’ve been presented with opportunities to smoothly work them in. It needed to be more finessed.

I could be wrong; it’s how I perceived the 10-15 minutes I watched.

The Trump I know, when he's interrupted, always raises his finger and says excuse me.

Trump didn't do that tonight. Instead, as you say, he tried to rush his points.
