Dont get me wrong ... a lot of Californians are wonderful people. That being said ... they are not well received in many places. They truly need to stay where they are at and fix the problems that they are also responsible for. They will say ... I didn’t vote for Newscum or mad max or Pelousy. Well ... so ... did you help the campaign against them ... did you go door to door passing out flyers ...did you contribute money and time against them ? Did you run against them ... attend rallies ? Most of them have to say NO. So yes they ARE partially responsible for the downfall of their state. Then they expect their new state to welcome them with open arms.

The issue isn’t that simple. Telling ordinary working and middle class Americans to sacrifice everything to become a political activist or campaigner is a non-starter. Telling us to fight a district over 500 miles away (in my case) is also not reasonable. The truth is that other than San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Jose and San Diego, the state is actually very conservative – just like every other “blue” state. The issue is that to change the politics in a blue state requires taking back the big cities that have the largest populations and therefore biggest districts. How do we do that?

The answer is, per your point, show up! However, not just the voters, but the GOP. They saw us going downhill starting in the 80’s, and what did the GOP do? Nothing. In many districts they don’t even to bother to show up with a candidate, and when they do they don’t do d*ck to support them. No knocking on doors, no big rallies, no radio or tv campaigns, other than a measly 2’x3’ sign with a name on it here and there, really nothing. You can’t win if you don’t show up, GOP! I can’t tell you how pissed I get when I look at my ballot and only see a singe Democrat running on a ticket for a local or state office. It happens year after year. It also doesn’t help when the GOP do next to nothing for outreach to the voters. They just sit on their hands begging for more money that won’t get spent trying to field new candidates to course correct our disaster of a state.

And about begging for money, it’s pathetic that I get email after email from out of state GOP campaigns asking for donations, but nothing from a candidate here in Cali. It’s easy to tell us Californians to “eat it”, but in reality everyone in this country is going to have a taste because of the failure of the GOP to even try to oppose it.
