A member of the grand jury in the Breonna Taylor case filed a motion Monday in Louisville, Kentucky, to have the sealed grand jury transcripts and records released "so that the truth may prevail."
The motion, filed in Jefferson County five days after the jury's decision was announced, also asks that the jurors be allowed to speak about the case as a matter of public interest.
In the petition, an attorney for the anonymous juror notes that Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron made public statements that "attempted to make it very clear that the grand jury alone made the decision."
"The citizens of this Commonwealth have demonstrated their lack of faith in the process and proceedings in this matter and the justice system itself," the filing said. "Using the grand jurors as a shield to deflect accountability and responsibility for these decisions only sows more seeds of doubt in the process while leaving a cold chill down the spines of future grand jurors."
Cameron announced last week that the grand jury had chosen not to issue indictments on homicide charges against any of the three officers who fired their guns in the police raid that killed Taylor in March. One former officer, Brett Hankison, faces charges of wanton endangerment, accused of firing into a neighbor's home.
He pleaded not guilty Monday. During his hearing, the judge ordered that a recording of the grand jury proceedings be entered into the court record.
"The Grand Jury is meant to be a secretive body. It's apparent that the public interest in this case isn't going to allow that to happen" Cameron said in a statement Monday.
The motion said the juror who filed the petition wishes to remain anonymous but feels "compelled to act in a manner that promotes transparency, truth, and justice."

Is this going to be used to get the identities of the jurors, so the BLM mob can track them down and kill them?
That, and additional impetus for more arson and looting...and likely murder.
If i'm correct. When a Grand jury is convened. After the AG presents their case, they are given a list of possible charges.
According to this Juror, homicide wasn't on the list. I bet this juror is hearing it from family members and those of the 'community', why didn't they charge the police officers with homicide.
If this is all true (homicide not being on this list), then i want to verify the above quote from Cameron. Did he really say, the grand jury chose not to issue indictment on homicide??
The term homicide being used is a bit ambiguous. Illegal homicides are varying degrees of murder and manslaughter. So one wouldnt see a charge of simply homicide, since there are homicides that are not chargeable offenses.
I’m beginning to think the main objective for all of this is to take out a potential major Republican player.
“Im beginning to think the main objective for all of this is to take out a potential major Republican player.”
BINGO.
A Governor can ask, that's about it. A Prosecutor (or an Attorney General) has what is called Prosecutorial discretion.
Prosecutorial discretion. (except in the case of General Michael Flynn, then the Judge Sullivan in that case wants to be Judge, Prosecutor, and Hangman) is when a prosecutor has the power to decide whether or not to charge a person for a crime, and which criminal charges to file. This is a rather broad power that also gives prosecutors the authority to enter into plea bargains with a defendant, which can result in the defendant pleading guilty to a lesser charge or receiving a lesser sentence for pleading guilty to the original charge. An example of this is a police officer letting you go with a warning when they could have charged you with speeding.
The above is just a small / limited over view of Prosecutorial discretion.
Right. Any death by the actions of a person is homocide. Justifiably killing in self-defense is still homocide.
Protesters have been screaming for months for the cops involved to be charged with murder. I’m honestly surprised Louisville hasn’t been burnt to a crisp yet. Thanks to our idiot Dem state gov and idiot Dem city mayor, it may still happen.
Legal bullshit. One lawyer going to get censured by the state bar association. One juror might go to jail for “tampering” with sealed documents.
Corrupt little city isn’t it?
Let me guess. This would be the black members of the grand jury petitioning for this?
I voted for Daniel Cameron, for the same reason I’ll vote for McConnell on Nov 3rd. But just to be clear Daniel Cameron is a McConnell stooge.
Exactly. Homicide is not a charge anywhere. It is just a legal term to define a death caused by another. There are justified homicides, unjustified homicides and accidental homicides. This is just stupid.
