Yes, that’s a fortuitous thing, otherwise they wouldn’t have much incentive to do anything. Who knows how long they drag it out?

Its also fortuitous, if not providential, that RBG made one of the biggest miscalculations in history (i.e., not resigning when she could have had some influence on who her successor would be).

Her refusal has allowed Trump to re-shape the Court for decades to come thereby undoing at least some aspects of her far left liberal legacy. Her hubris cost her dearly.

This is what happens when “the cause” becomes your religion. She waited because she wanted to be replaced by “The First Woman President of the United States”.
