12the Amendment kicks in to involve the House. They must choose among the top 3 vote-receiving candidates. Not subs, not surprises, not compromises. Then each state delegation gets ONE vote to cast. So even though the extremists have more seats, leftists run up their numbers in population centers in big states, so no benefit to them.

I do believe that this was discussed a couple of weeks ago. From what I read, they would have to peel off some GOP reps because they have more reps but GOP comes out ahead in States.
I also remember this same conversation during both Bush elections. The key will be winning so many states that even cheating would not make a difference.
