Protesters gathered outside the RTE studios in Donnybrook on Friday to tell Late Late Show guest Dr Anthony Fauci to ‘go home’.
The American immunologist has served as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, and appeared on Friday’s episode of the Late Late Show via Zoom to speak to Ryan Tubridy about the progress of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Posts encouraging people to protest Dr Fauci’s appearance on the Late Late Show circulated on social media earlier this week, announcing that a ‘rally for truth’ would be held from 5pm on September 25 outside ‘the fake news HQ’ in Montrose.

Images emerged on social media of protesters at Montrose chanting ‘RTE is the virus’ and telling Dr Fauci to ‘go home’.
The demonstrators did not appear to realise that the American doctor had not flown to Dublin for the interview, but was appearing via video link.

RTE/Tony Fauci is the virus!!! That has a nice ring to it.
NIAID is supposed to develop treatments for potential diseases, such as SARS.
After SARS in 2004 and MERS in 2007 Fauci did nothing.
He had more than 10 years to come up with a treatment or vaccine against this type of virus.
He did nothing.

I doubt it, but here’s the “story”.
Seems to me that “GO HOME” is a wish for him to retire from the public eye.
The “Go Home” reference may mean that Fauci go back to Italy, the home of his ancestors.
Many of our fellow Americans are disappointingly misinformed.
I suspect they were advising him to retire...?

I was in Savannah Georgia this weekend, city hall has a large banner on the front proclaiming a mask mandate. Maybe 1 in 100 on the street had a mask.
Maybe they want him to go home to his house.
This is the man who together with the Obama Administration is responsible for exporting the reseach on coronaviruses to the Wuhan lab in china. After that, I don’t want to hear anything from him.
