Nauseating. I want to vote in person early and then fly out to some hole in Siberia for the rest of Election Day. Which apparently may last a decade.

The standard, in the past, has been that absentee ballots had to be requested and returned prior to election day, so the Supervisor of Elections personnel could mark the voting rolls for those who had voted early.

I believe it was always assumed that those who did not mail in the absentee ballot, might show up to vote in person.

Now we have reports of people showing up to vote in person, and being told they have already turned in an absentee ballot.
