Relax. I too wanted a confirmation vote and skip the hearings. But you have to realize this is smart politics by Mitch. He’s maximizing turnout of the base and he’s demoralizing the leftist groups. If Collins becomes a yes vote, she instantly wins re-election. Trust me, this is all about demoralizing the Left and driving a stake through their numbers.
