I am disgraced and ashamed that I went full defensive posture to defend the Bush era Administration. I always stuck to the GOP brand especially in PA with Ridge and equally hapless Corbett. The NeverTrumpers are the most vile political swamp scum besides the American left and DNC. The pure hatred for one man in Trump overriding the fact that we are voting for our nation’s future is just sickening.
What was the alternative at the time?

Here is what I don’t understand. Ridge and others of his ilk claims they are for conservative principles. So they are going to vote for a liberal Democrat and a very liberal VP to advance conservative principles?
Some questions:
1) Did Ridge advocate for any one attempting to primary President Trump?
2) Why did Ridge just say that he’s not voting for anyone for President? Instead he’s voting for the Democratic candidate?
President Trump has done a great service by forcing “conservatives” to show who they stand for. Guys like Will, Boot, Kagan, Kristol, several over at NR, Patterico, et al have permanently burned their bridges back to the Republican party. Most people will never take them seriously any more.
I went to Patterico’s site for the first time in 5-6 months. Just unreadable due to the TDS. Discouraging because he used to be an engaging blogger. Now he’s just hateful. The blog quality went down as well when he farmed out a lot of the blogging to others. That’s one reason why I like Althouse - she doesn’t farm out any of the blogging and has posted every day since ~2004.
