Trump does two significant things as President:
1. Sign bills passed by Congress
2. Appoint Supreme Court justices

Agreed. It would make a difference if they said they would write in another candidate, or vote for a third party candidate, but to say they are going to vote for the dem candidate reeks of hypocrisy.
