Thinking about it, I don’t think a single Republican will vote against or abstain.
Mur-KOW-ski is already getting slammed and is walking it all back. Collins needs the GOP to turn out in Maine. If she doesn’t vote to confirm, they won’t and she’s gone.
Politically it is too close to an election for a Republican to side with the dems or help them. I know that’s conventional wisdom but still... The rose has lost it blush on democrat outrage of a president doing his duty. Perhaps they’re even seeing the political damage to themselves in going after this nominee or the idea to oppose a nomination at this time. Polling shows most people believe a nominee should be seating without waiting until next year. Even Piglosi is walking back the second impeachment talk.
Anyway, I hope The Turtle is seriously knocking heads together...
On the other hand, PA judges have allowed post election ballots --even without postmarks--to be counted. This one surely will be challenged before the election and likely disallowed by regional courts. How crazy. How blatantly dishonest.
