That’s terribly sad to hear.
Can you relocate?
Find work, elsewhere?
Is Minnesota still in the horizon?
#7 I have quite a bit of money to retire so I am lucky there. I am planning on it soon. I am waiting on my AMD stock late Oct quarterly report. If the AMD stock I own did not go up anymore I still have enough for some 20 years just spending the principle plus I start to collect social security in 5 years which alone pays for the roof over my head so the savings will last 30+ years. The stock though will continue to go up and up so I am better off then my co-workers who are in their mid 20’s and 30’s and will have to get new jobs and worry about the next group of H1B visa holders.
BTW AMD stock since Jan 2018 has gone up nearly 650% and in the last year nearly 300%. Up to $92 in Sept from $28+ last October. $13.74 in Jan 2018.
It is now at $78 which is about 280% for about a year. Predictions are $120 to $225 a share in 2021 and 2022. I would love to be laid off as I get at least 26 weeks unemployment money plus if you go to school it is 50 weeks. You just take classes along the lines of work you have done. That money would pay half my bills with the other half from borrowed money from the broker at 7% for the coming year while I wait for my stock go up and up in 2021 : )
