I'm with you, Sam. In every FR thread about Trump's chances to flip a 2016 Blue State to 2020 Red, there are always Debbie Downers who chime in to say he can't win there. I'm convinced many of the naysayers are just DNC trolls here to curb enthusiasm.

Personally, I think Trump has a great chance to flip several Blue states this time around. VA being one of them.

Thank you, I simply do not trust anybody who says "Trump cannot win in this state". They are defeatists who I want nothing to do with.

You can usually identify them when you make a positive statement and they reply with "I hope you are right."

Negativity and pessimism are poisonous to the soul.

It isn’t a matter of being a troll, it’s a matter of familiarity with the area. Northern VA is chockful of wealthy, leftwing government beaurocrats and teat-suckers as well as massive numbers of immigrants. Walk thru some retail stores there and you can count on one hand how many people speak English. I hope like hell the lower counties come out and the lefties figure it’s in the bag and stay home, but experience doesn’t prove that out. Pessimistic or realistic? Too much false hope isn’t healthy, either.

I tend to agree with you. Some of these just don’t even talk like conservatives. There is no doubt that there are3 those who either are paid, or leftist partisans, who seek to discourage the Trump base! But I don’t think that will work. I believe that MN is in play for sure. We will win NH. As for VA, it may be hard, but don’t underestimate Trump and his instincts. They are usually correct!
