Point of order - The Democrats haven’t yet allowed a “peaceful transference of power” going back to 2016. If you hadn’t noticed. What the hell are they smoking? So it’s kind of rich even for them to hurl this kind of invective. But that’s what they do.
Yes, one can certainly see the battle space prep even now. They have to cast doubt on the legitimacy of elections. Any election where they don’t win, is by their definition illegitimate. Somebody once claimed that Democrats have attempted to Impeach every Republican president since Eisenhower. Maybe. They certainly have no compunction about cheating. Norm Coleman v what’s his name, Gregoire in Wa, the list is extensive.
It has been suggested that one of things that happens now, is alternate forms of communication to the American people. If the big media outlets “deem” that the president lost re-election, they will shut him down and refuse to broadcast, cancel the twatter accounts, and declare him persona non grata. Bank on it.
Then all the failure theater “Republican thought leaders” and other assorted cranks come out of the woodwork calling for him to concede, yadda yadda. The script just writes itself. Notice how some of the Joint Chiefs and perfumed princes publicly getting squirrelly with the widespread riots.
True, we can see what the runup is, and what indeed may happen should it go as you say.
I guess my question is: What are WE going to DO about it? I don’t mean the lose-at-all-costs, mealy-mouthed politicians in the GOP, I mean US, the REAL American people.
In my neighborhood, I really don’t know who believes what. We have no political signs in our neighborhood (against HOA rules). No one seemed pissed off after the 2018 election. We are about 3 blocks from the edge of JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord), so I know there’s a lot of military families in the area.
I guess we’ll see how this shakes out.
