True story. A nearby county sheriff brought two six packs of beer to the checkout counter. The cashier said the twelve pack was cheaper. The sheriff said he couldn’t drink a whole twelve pack so purchased the two six packs.

I went to school with the sheriff. Once a moron, always a moron.

Sometimes it's not about the cost savings. I buy Mexican Coca-Cola from Costco. The case of half-liter bottles (500ml about 18oz) is only a buck more than the smaller bottles (355ml about 12oz). Sometimes I can only drink the smaller bottles. If I have leftover Coke from the larger bottle, it loses it's fizz if kept around for later. I buy both cases.

Regards the sheriff, yeah he's not thinking wisely.
