I agree with that. That is the natural order of things, and when men and women follow that plan, life can be very sweet and peaceful. ( when both are gumble before God in their roles).

Yes, and I believe the only way that can really happen is for both the man and wife be surrendered to the Lord - not just born again, but surrendered.

Husbands love your wife AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR IT.
Christian women and men who walk after the flesh and rely on themselves to do this utterly fail, one reason we have such a high divorce rate among Christians.
That is probably one reason Paul said, “It is good for a man not to touch a woman.” The woman’s role in marriage is especially grievous to her flesh - she must be so surrendered to the Lord that she will endure suffering in the flesh to find that life that is “very sweet and peaceful”, which is promised such a wife (1 Peter 3:4-6).
