So far, in the US, we've had 1) the CDC admit that the number of deaths only attributable to COVID is just under 10,000, 2) States admit gross reporting errors (Texas, NC, Washington), 3) significant numbers of false positive COVID tests reported all over, 4) admission by various medical institutions that reporting guidelines often include assumed presence of COVID post-mortem
Add to that the disparity in reporting protocols between countries, and there really is no way to know any real numbers of COVID infections/deaths, let alone have any sort of accurate comparison of real numbers between different countries. All the numbers people are using now are just phantoms.
