Prayers up.

Better to happen publicly, where you will be rushed to a hospital, than alone, at night, in your bedroom.

Quick test for strokes: BEFAST

B - Balance
E - Eyes. Unable to see/focus
F - Face. Do the Smile Test. Tests movement on both sides of the face.
A - Arms. Have them close their eyes and try to lift both arms evenly. Weakness in one arm is an indicator.
S - Speech - Slurred speech is another sign
T - Time. Call 9-1-1 immediately. Time is crucial. The faster treatment occurs the more likely a positive recovery can be made.

As an aside, I had a bout of Bell’s Palsy ten years ago. Freaked me the hell out. But it only impacted my face. No slurred speech, no issue with balance or arms, etc. I did use it to freak out my boss in a meeting. Nice guy that I am.

Many years ago when I was very young I drove Dr. Paul around to some of his campaign events. He was saying the same things way back then that he has in recent years. Same messages. Cool dude. I hope it’s something he can overcome. A TIA or it can even be low blood sugar.

Looks like a stroke. Fox News is saying he is at a hospital now.

I don’t think Bell’s Palsy hits you all of a sudden like that. Strokes do.

Looks like a pretty bad stroke. Left side of his face goes slack.

Paul's in the hospital "lucid and optimistic".

Poor man. That’s a stroke alright. Seen it happen numerous times when I worked in nursing homes. Happened to my late mother-in-law right at the dinner table. Hope he recovers.

In the midst of a stroke he was still more lucid than Biden.
