"Breonnas Law, a bill that would end no-knock warrants statewide."
Of course these officers chose not to make use of their no-knock warrant and clearly identified themselves afrer knocking. It was only when the apartment occupants failed to open the door that they broke the door open. Witnesses have testified to this as the truth. Stupid woman, abolition of no-knock warrants would not have saved Brianna. Her boyfriend used a weapon with intent to harm the police. He is directly responsible for her death. Maybe if she hadn't decided to "shack up" with a drug dealer she'd still be alive.

And the cops made enough noise for the neighbors to come to their doors/windows.

Her boyfriend shot at whoever was breaking in, he didn't know it was police, and in fact stated that he thought her druggie ex-boyfriend was the one breaking in. Which is why, last I heard, all charges against him have been dropped. He has no prior convictions, and nothing has tied him to any kind of drug dealing/using yet.
The ex-boyfriend was the one dealing drugs, and supposedly they broke up a while ago, but she was still "hanging out" with him and possibly still involved in his drug activities.
