She has far more experience (including Florida state courts) and I believe did a stint as a prosecutor. I like people who have real world experience. Sandra Day O’Connor was the best woman to ever sit on the court and not surprisingly appointed by Reagan. It’s too bad that Janic Rogers Brown aged out.
Many American Christian people like to adopt black children from foreign countries.
I don’t think it’s pedophilia but more of a way of giving back, or coping with secondary infertility, or finally getting that boy after a lot of girls or that girl after a lot of boys.
I know many Christians who have a “biological” family and then adopt later.

Souter was also an enigma as an obscure judge in NH, with no record of decisions on major issues of concern to us.
GHWB's chief of staff John Sununu picked him solely due to one decision that Souter made while Sununu was NH Gov. The State Govt was being sued by someone, and Souter ruled in favor of the Govt.
Once he had lifetime tenure on SCOTUS, we soon found out what his political leanings were.
That's what also scares me about Lagoa. She could be another Souter-In-Waiting, and we have no way of knowing, short of giving her lifetime tenure on SCOTUS and then sitting back to see what happens.
But Comey definitely DOES have a track record.

Barrett is a statist. Read her findings along with her two cohorts. This is who she is.

Past rulings are a very poor indication of what they will do once they have reached the pinnacle and can’t ever be fired. This has been proven many times. Most recently with Roberts. kavanaugh and Gorsich have also shown to be not as conservative as we thought.
I’d prefer Allison Jones Rushing over either of the two everyone on this site seems to like. There are more qualified women than just A Barrett and Barbara Lagoa.
Maybe President Trump will surprise you all and nominate someone not even mentioned on FR.

Isn’t Lagoa a bit light on the track record? Those of us old enough remember one David Souter who was equally sketchy at the time of appointment... and we know how that all turned out.
Barrett at least has a strong background of support for 2A and other constitutional positions.
