Not sure that you would want PDJT announcing that COVID-19 is averaging 8x as serious/deadly as normal flu...would cause more “Karen behavior” and lockdown behavior by state governors.
Normal influenza averaged an IFR of between 0.096% and 0.176% over the past 10 flu seasons...the CDC IFR numbers mentioned in this thread give an overall IFR (all age groups) of 1.48%. (8 times as high as the worst flu season in the last 10 years).
