There was no need to do the binge shopping. It was a self induced shortage of stupid stuff.
You do realize, don’t you, that prepping includes a whole lot more than binge shopping in the teeth of an emergency.
It means being ready to feed yourself, and having the skills to fix stuff on your own.
To be ready to heat your house when the power’s out, which means having a generator and fuel on hand.
It means knowing how to grow, cook, bake, sew, can, repair, keep warm, improvise, protect yourself, hunt, and keep yourself entertained.
But maybe I’m expecting too much from you to grasp what prepping is all about.

Agree with that. Other than the food, their push for toilet paper and paper towels was nothing short of incredible.
I had always stocked up on toilet paper; at least a couple months’ supply (bought on sales) - was about to restock when this hit.
