While COVID-19 continues to spread, Americans cant afford to wait months or even years until a vaccine is developed to try to get back to a greater semblance of normal.
The federal government and the American taxpayers do not have the ability or the capacity to support shuttered businesses and laid off employees forever. And the longer people are out of work, away from family and friends, and sheltered at home, the more public health suffers, both physically and mentally.
At some point soon, more businesses need to reopen, employees need to be able to go back to work, children need to go back to school, and people need to feel comfortable returning to more public activities.
A roadmap to recovery already exists, and many governments, businesses, and community organizations across the country have been following it to safely reopen workplaces, schools, and public spaces while still mitigating the spread of the disease. However, more needs to be done.
The roadmap was created by the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission, a group of 17 experts brought together from around the nation in the fields of medicine, economics, government, business, disaster response, education, and religion. The commission developed 265 specific, actionable recommendations for federal, state, and local governments as well as businesses, churches, charities, and community organizations to help navigate the nation through the pandemic and toward recovery.
All of the recommendations can be found at www.CoronavirusCommission.com, but following are some of the bigger picture ones that should be under consideration today.
While social distancing and mask wearing are key to slowing the spread of the coronavirus, research shows that shutting down entire states shouldnt be part of the mitigation toolkit. The spread of COVID-19 in the U.S. has been heavily concentrated in a small number of states and in fact, among a small number of counties within those states. Overall, only about 20% of U.S. counties account for 90% of all COVID-19 deaths.
Shutting down entire states only worsens the economic devastation as well as the health and welfare of otherwise healthy individuals. Governors and local officials need to make reopening and shutdown decisions on a county-by-county basis, and they need to base those decisions on case numbers and infection rates. Counties with low case numbers should be considered for reopening.
Additionally, we know that most people who get COVID show mild to no symptoms. Recent Centers for Disease Control data reaffirms that severe cases of COVID overwhelmingly happen in older people and those with existing chronic conditions. More than half of the elderly who have died from the virus were in nursing homes. Our COVID-19 strategy needs to be targeted to protecting these more vulnerable individuals, not locking down whole populations.
A recent Heritage Foundation report analyzed several countries responses to combating the pandemic and consistently found that two things need to be in place to successfully turn back the virus. The first is adequate testing capacity so that even people who dont show symptoms can be tested for the virus. If theres no way of knowing who has the virus and who can spread it to others, its exponentially harder to prevent its spread.
The second thing needed is a safe and separate place for the sick to recover. Spread is reduced significantly when infected individuals have a place to quarantine apart from non-infected people, including members of their own household.
The commission has also recommended reducing the risks associated with future pandemics by investing in adequate national and state stockpiles of personal protective equipment and other medical supplies; becoming less dependent on adversaries like China for our pharmaceuticals and medical supplies; and developing plans to quickly ramp up production of food, medicine, and other critical supplies to meet the increased demand when future crises hit.
The federal government and many governors have adopted several of the commissions recommendations over the past months, but much more needs to be done as we wait for an effective vaccine. Our physical, mental, and economic health depend on it.
Whether weve faced pandemics, world wars, or economic depression, America has always emerged from her challenges stronger. I am confident that with governments, private industry, and civil society working together, and with the unparalleled can-do spirit of the American people, this nation will yet again emerge from this challenge even stronger.
My roadmap is: Take off your mask and proceed if there was no virus. Afraid? Stay home and suck your thumb.
This virus will do what all viruses do, which is: Run. Its. Course.
Nothing we or any other country can do will change that.
America doesn’t need to get back to “a semblance of normal”. And we SURE as hell don’t need to get on board with this “new normal” horse crap. America needs to get back to NORMAL, period. Otherwise, we’re done.
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. Free everyone else.
Any mention of the “Trump pills”, hydroxychloroquine + azithromax/doxycycline + zinc ?
I have long favored broad-based (grocery stores & methadone clinic closed, ER doors normally locked) lockdowns of about 14 days.
Half-donkey partial lockdowns are not effective and weaken the economy too much.
As for testing, it has a place, but it is no substitute for physical safeguards.
The Russians and Chinese are vaccinating now.
If their vaccines work, great.
If not, they will waste a tiny fraction of the money we have.
At this point, there are more effective treatments such as plasma and a viral inhibitor.
A Pittsburgh university substance looks promising.
YALE Dr says HCQ+Zn is VERY EFFECTIVE if used early and the data clearly shows that is true
Yale's Dr Risch discusses starting about time 13 min that Fauxi ALSO killed thousands during the AIDES years when he demanded double blind testing that took two years to complete. During Fauxi's delay, 17,000 died!
Fauxi's 2020 HCQ attacks have easily killed tens of thousands and it can be argued that the figure is easily over 100,000 innocent people allowed to die because criminal doctors (and lots of useful idiots) withheld an effective drug treatment.
You can get an online Dr to prescribe either a treatment plan or a preventative dose to block the Chinese virus. If you look at the FRONTLINE Dr's videos, you'll see they take somewhere between one and two HCQ pills per week and zinc. NONE of them were ever infected and some of them saw hundreds of Chinese virus infected patients.
HCQ is NOT the only zinc ionaphore. Use DUCKDUCKGO to research (GOOGLE lies) and you can take these available supplements along with zinc and feel confident you will never get infected. And if you do get infected, then you go to your medicine cabinet and pull out your Zelenko Protocol FIVE day HCQ drug treatment THAT IS about 100% effective if started within the first five days of symptoms.
DO NOT WAIT to develop your plan to get HCQ when you get COVID-19 symptoms. In July when I lost my smell and taste on the 3rd day of symptoms, I drove two hours to an appointment with one of the FRONTLINE Doctors. HCQ works in almost all cases to stop the virus from replicating but do NOT wait to start. If not started within the first five days of symptoms, you MIGHT find yourself with a virus explosion on day 6. Then ER, ICU or even the morgue might be the result of your inaction.
This virus thing has been over for a while now. Only the governmental officials with a vested interest in keeping people under their control are keeping up the appearances that is it is still a bad pandemic.
Most of the advice given the American people has been wrong, including wearing masks. I refuse to wear one and so should everybody else if they choose not to.
The media reports all of these new "cases" that the governors and mayors etc, use to justify their onerous rules, but new cases don't not mean new illnesses or people with symptoms. It just means a positive test. Almost all of these new cases are people who are not sick or who are symptom free.
Deaths are way down. No need to continue to "flatten the curve", which was all a ruse anyway.
This virus is not going away. It is in the atmosphere and always will be. Vaccines are not a panacea.
People need to get back to work, go about their business and ignore the fear-mongering from the wannabe dictators and tyrants on the Left.
The medical "experts" and government bureaucrats have manipulated the numbers and statistics to make this "pandemic" look way worse that it really has been. There are political agendas and financial incentives in play that distort what has really happened.
I have lived through 4 previous pandemics in my life but this is the first time the government controlled people's behavior and ruined the economy. The previous pandemics I have lived through, I barely even knew they existed.
So you are right. Take off the masks and get back to living your lives. This thing is over with.
This has been the biggest con game played on the American people, ahead of even the climate change hoax.
Does this make me a cynic? You betcha. I don't believe a word from the media or the government experts like Fauci. I do better making up my own mind.
I’m sure there were people saying the same thing when the smallpox and polio vaccines were introduced. “Nothing you can do about it! Nothing that will ever stop them!” But those viruses are gone now from the US. SARS-CoV-2 is no different. It’ll be gone soon as well, thanks to President Trump’s efforts at getting a safe and effective vaccine into the hands of Americans faster than any other ever created.
People can’t do that. Most people don’t have two weeks worth of food. Most people can’t miss two weeks worth of paychecks. All you’re talking about is crushing more people more quickly.
And that would slow viral transmission during that period, but it would pick right back up again after. Shutdowns/lockdowns are inherently flawed ideas because they don’t fundamentally alter the situation. Use the easy ways to slow transmission while working on improved treatments and the endgame solution of a vaccine. That’s been EXACTLY what President Trump has pushed for all along.
Or, might it miraculously disappear after the election? LOL :-)
From the entire world?
Nah, they can take of themselves. :-)
I like your posts, btw. Very interesting and informative. I might not agree 100% with every single one of them, every single time, but they’re always thought-provoking. Cheers!
Apparently, Fauxci stopped the approval of an antibiotic called Bactrim to treat pneumocystis pneumonia, a common affliction for those with AIDS. AIDS activists actually wanted it approved for use, but Fauxci insisted on the double blind study.
And the band played on . . .
So far NO major politician or media source has consistently stressed the importance of virus stopping ZINC, an ionophore like HCQ which helps zinc enter infected cells, and an antibiotic to protect the lungs from bacterial infection. I have a supply of Quercetin 500 mg, Zinc Picolinate 50 mg. (5 tablets a day for illness), Vitamin D3 5000 IU, and Vit. C 1000 mg. Will take these if ill and give to family and friends if they get ill. I have also been using the advice below I wrote in April.
A number of nutrients have been proposed as being helpful in treating the disease, or enhancing your immunity to infection. These include zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, multivitamin/mineral supplements, and various herbal supplements. When sick people are tested for these nutrients they usually have very low levels or none of the tested nutrients in their body. I believe many of us are in a state of chronic sub-clinical deficiency of one or more key nutrients to protect from and heal Covid-19. To build up our reserves during this crisis, I recommend taking the following until a state of full vibrant health is felt. Then cut back a little:
Vitamin C, 500 or 1000 mg., morning and evening
Vitamin D, 3000 to 5000 IU or 125 mg. a day (more in winter or no sunshine)
A one daily type multi-vitamin/mineral tablet, morning and evening
Zinc (picolinate or sulfate), 2 or 3 calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets a day
Other supplements you may already be taking, or find through research regarding specific health issue of yourself or your family
Dr. Zelenko recommends taking Quercetin, 100 mg.
The patients most often mentioned as vulnerable to Covid-19—those with diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity—often have very low levels of zinc. Loss of taste and smell signals severe
zinc deficiency.
The recently reported higher death rate for blacks and Latinos may relate to the reduced capacity to absorb Vitamin D through darker skin. Also lactose intolerance would reduce use of D fortified milk.
I also learned Vitamin C and other antioxidants are found in the lining of the lung, so extra C might help the lining as well as killing viruses at high enough levels. Then there is zinc and its use with HCQ. It is an elaborate orchestration the body requires, and hard to develop into clinical trials since we all have individual needs for all these nutrients.
In severe virus or toxic illness the C especially needs to be titrated to the level close to bowel tolerance which can vary greatly based on the individual and the amount and type of toxin/virus. I have used 24 grams in a day with flu and gave 50 grams to a women with anaphylactic shock from 3 neck stings over 8 hours and neither of us had bowel symptoms. The Chinese clinical trials were saying 24 grams a day IV, and I think NY was trying 8 grams. Probably not enough in either case.
On April 12, Dr. Zelenko sent the letter which is included in this link, which also has some follow up dated April 16th. https://internetprotocol.co/hype-news/2020/04/14/a-detailed-coronavirus-treatment-plan-from-dr-zelenko/
This site did not allow me to copy text, so I am rewriting from a copy I printed. First he lists his criteria for out-patient treatment. Next he lists his 3 part outpatient treatment regimen, at which I am changing the order of the 3 items:
1. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) 200 mg. twice a day for 5 days
3. Zinc sulfate 220 mg. once a day for 5 days
2. Azithromycin 500 mg. once a day for 5 days
In a recent interview on You-Tube, Dr. Zelenko said that in the absence of HCQ (since you have to get it from a doctor) you could use the ionophore Quercetin, 500 mg twice a day. This is sold as a supplement at stores and on line. Dr. Z’s 3 part treatment costs $20. Gilead Sciences Remdesivir may cost $1000 a dose or more to some buyers. Fauci was promoting this.
Then he adds: The rationale for my treatment plan is as follows, I combined the data available from China and S. Korea* with the recent study published from France (sites available on request, may refer to work by Dr. Didier Raoult). We know that HCQ acts as an ionophore to help Zinc enter the cell. We know that Zinc slows viral replication within the cell.
Regarding the use of Azithromycin, I postulate it prevents secondary bacterial infections.**
These 3 drugs are well known and usually well tolerated [me: especially for short term use] hence the risk to the patient is low.
If I take Zinc, I get this metallic taste in my mouth that indicates that maybe I’m taking too much. But I still have some handy in case I get a call from a contact tracer (in my state, MD-COVID).
Just remember if you suddenly loose your sense of taste and smell you are probably severely zinc deficient, and are likely to be coming down with Covid.
