Just call the vote. Problem solved.
Isn’t that an “arrow in our quiver,” as Pegrossi would say?

That’s right. Ramming through Obamacare without a single Republican vote would lead to retaliation. The main stream media doesn’t want to cover that.

WTF government do we have?
The Founders would string up or imprison most of them.

Do you promise to slit your wrists with dignity, if the seat is filled before the election?

Skip the hearing and go straight to the floor for the vote. There is nothing in the Constitution requiring a hearing. It is just a Senate rule that came into being many years after the birth of the nation. A hearing was probably added for some particular reason which went away afterwards, but the rule didn’t. The rule Hearing rule can go away now as it is not needed.

"This is kidstuff compared to the avalanche of crap thats coming down the pike for the nomination hearings."
Yes. The Senate Judiciary Committee will interview and decide on the nominee. They'll move on to another nominee if necessary. That's going to happen, and no amount of foot stomping will stop them.
So yes, the avalanche will happen, too. The nominee needs to be someone who is perceived as being sane and impartial by most of the general population (constituents of senators). That's why Lagoa (age: 52), Rushing (age: 38) or Grant (age: 42) will be most likely. I would prefer Grant (2nd Amendment) but am guessing Lagoa.

By the way. This girl is not pantomiming crying. Yoona is acting cute by imitating a kitten rubbing its face.

Sounds like a good deal. Skip all hearings. Vote up or down on everything. Leave them out of it all.
To: Luke21
No committee investigation is required and has not always been used. Just put the nominee up for a vote and be done with it. It can be done in a day.

Why are Democrat scum even permitted to participate in matters that only require majority vote.
Its like negotiating with 4 year olds having a temper tantrum.
4 year old screeching evil howler monkeys, that is.
They should be excluded from all Senate business that does not require their presence. Act like infants. Be treated like infants.
Democrats bring nothing of value to the table.

I don’t really believe that the Constitution allows one Senator the power to close down Senate proceedings all by himself. It that were the case, nothing would ever get done.

So we do what the Democrats have sworn to do whenever they control the Senate: Change the rules.
