I don’t see why this would come up, or be allowed to come up, in questioning before the Senate.

Why this will come up is because it is one line of attack the rats have to impugn her character and question her eligibility. Moreover, because she is a devout Catholic, her allegiance to its doctrines will be criticized as potentially in conflict with the legal requirements of a Justice of the Supreme Court.

I know that might happen, but I’m also hoping someone among the good guys would shut it down. What does “no religious test” mean if it doesn’t cover this? I know they would go after her on abortion, as a religiously-based idea. But logically, they might as well ask her if she thinks the Pope is infallible, or the Eucharist is the true Body and Blood of Christ. No religious test.
