A source close to WH tells @CBSNews that “every signal, every indicator” favors Judge Amy Coney Barrett. Based on the buzz within the WH, the source said it would be “extraordinarily surprising” if she were not the choice.

Part of political calculus, WH anticipates Democrats “will go overboard, and pile on” an ACB nomination, noting the 2017 line of questioning from Senator Feinstein and other Democrats about religion did not play well according to polling. This source said some within WH want President Trump to announce before Saturday.
