I’m doing my best. I’ve got about 1,000 rounds of 9mm Luger so far, and am stockpiling ammo for my .22 LR, 38 Special and .357 Magnum. I prowl Al Gore’s Interwebs for available supplies.

Cheaperthandirt.com has 'em, but they're a bit pricey right now.

I regularly prowl the following online vendors:

Also look at SGAmmo.com, Wideners.com (who gets some weird stuff in sometimes, like the plastic German practice 7.62 ammo) and sometimes sportsmansguide.com. Be advised that for the last, when they sell surplussed military ammo it needs to be *carefully* inspected as they are known to have sold some badly spot corroded 7.62 NATO ammo off and on for years.

ammoseek.com doesn’t always get it right or cover everything, so it’s worth checking vendor sites directly too.

If you mean the DP-12.... that thing has some issues. You can google for it, there’s videos of the problems it has.

Pump guns are better than nothing, but there’s a reason the Marines dumped (and continue to dump) their 500/590s for the semiauto M1014/Benelli M4 Super 90. LAPD dumped their pumps for the 1014 as well, and police forces across the country are increasingly going away from pumps. Even the US Army is dumping the pump gun for a straight pull bolt gun, the M26.

When the professionals are moving away from pumps to (mostly) semiautos for ‘social’ work...

That said, if you have to get a pump, the 500/590 is my personal favorite there.

Used to cost $15/50. Now 4 times that amount.

Macroeconomics: Supply and Demand meet equilibrium. That's why the price goes up.

I tried 11x last night to order 3 x 1,000 rnds of 5.56 and 1,000 rnds of .45cal ACP, but was turned down 11x by their website, although the ammo was “available”.

I called my banks to find out what was happening, but the website was denying the valid CVV Code on the back of the Wells Fargo and PNC cards.

Website isn’t taking calls and I sent emails, but they blamed my card, although although all data was valid/

Did you have any initial ordering problems?

There is an armor-side solution to that - because of course the protection guys weren’t going to ignore it. Back the soft armor with something like D3O non-Newtonian impact protection foam used in modern motorcycle armor. Stuff is uncanny, but it protects against impact kinetic energy like nothing else. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D3o

The most you’ll get with a pelvic hit against someone so protected is knocking them down - which is no small advantage for you - but they’ll quickly get back up and won’t need medical attention.

There still isn’t any solution for whiplashing someone’s brain with a non-penetrating hit to the head or visor.

No, and I am sorry to hear about yours. I have ordered 1000 rounds each of 9mm JHP and FMJ, 45mm JHP and FMJ, 5.56 BTHP and LAP, plus 250 12 guage slugs and 500 00 Buck from them in the last 2 months. I joined their buying club which gives you free shipping, which I figure has saved me about $350 over what I paid for it in just the last few months.

CCI finally emailed me to say they’re shipping my .38 Special +P’s. I had earlier this month gotten an email from them apologizing for the delay (I had ordered them back in the beginning of August).

Should arrive Thursday....

Most US ammo makers are probably backordered at least as badly.
