Of course they have Chinese targets in simulations.
And Russian.
And N. Korean.
And Cuban.
And Venezuelan.
And Iranian.
And so on.
And I would be angry if they weren’t. That is what we have a military for, to be able to respond on a shorter notice, and not have to reinvent the wheel from scratch in the event of a crisis-at least to have some kind of fundamental notion to build on.
And if it cant leave the coast what good is it? Resupply is something they lack.
There are a lot of things we need to do, as Bill Whittle pointed out in his video linked in my post above.
We need to get serious about maintenance and training. They are in a vicious cycle now, where their systems are not operating at full capability due to maintenance related breakdowns, and they are still trying to perform the missions of a much larger navy with a far smaller force, and being stretched thin as the McCain and Fitzgerald collisions amply demonstrate.
And the training, in the US Navy is apparently in crisis (for our navy). That is the only thing I can take away from those mishaps, which I have examined closely.
I have made it clear that I think have co-ed crews on combat ships was a massive mistake, but our country has apparently made the decision that this is a social experiment they are willing to risk casualties and mission failures over, and so that ship has sailed. So be it.
China now has the largest navy in the world an continues to build still more ships as well as their third and fourth CVN which will use the EMALS launch system like the CVN Ford. It will soon have a blue water navy to rival, and if Harris wins, surpass the US navy in the number of ships
Wonder what the Guamanians think of this..
Of course we can be certain VR images of Chinese targets are loaded in American military combat flight simulators.

Just in case those planes had some way of getting close to the mainland in an actual shooting war where the CVNs are vulnerable to hundreds of DF-21Ds and J-20s
Taiwan/Guam are a feint.
“I think our CIA should foment a civilian uprising.”
Like they’re doing here?
Yes.
And this way, it’s actually in their charter.
“And the Chinese themselves are deadly serious. “
Some grain market traders are asking questions about why China ia making large purchases of American grain.
Are they planning something that wlll prevent them from grain buys in the future?
I think the H-6 is a copy of an ancient Russian bomber
Hope it doesn’t tip over.
Does the video show a massive retaliatory launch from our nuclear attack subs? Too bad cause that’s what would happen.
Hehehehehehe...I love the misuse and abuse of otherwise well-intentioned technology!
In a way it would be irresponsible for the ChiCom military to not war game like this. The Pentagon has war plans for almost any contingency. It is how the game is played. Nothing to see here. Move along.
our country has apparently made the decision that this is a social experiment they are willing to risk casualties and mission failures over,
I agree on that 100%
Is he a corpseman?
I am willing to accept that in a police force, but in our military it is a much more bitter pill to have to swallow.
I pray for our troops in a war where the enemy has serious resources and the will to commit them.
We will discover again (as we always do, too late) that war is not a button pushing exercise, and always boils down to stamina and strength in a pitched battle, where the strength and stamina of one individual can be the nail wanted for the horse’s shoe on the loss of which a battle and even a war was lost.
