Ahhh....NO. She was confirmed to the Appeals court by a vote of 80 - 15. That’s TOKEN opposition in an era where true SOLID Constitutionalists are confirmed with “NO” votes in the 40s. The DemocRATS know things about her and her connections that we do not.
The last thing we need is a Republican nominated Supreme Court Justice who evolves to the left once on the bench.
I’m not sure who is raising all these trial balloons about Lagoa, but I sure hope that campaign fails. I’d like to see either Amy Coney Barrett or Britt Grant be the nominee. They are both KNOWN SOLID Constitutionalists and each received over 40 “No” votes from DemocRATS in their Appeals Court confirmation votes.
She comes with solid backing from Jeb!
So that should be enough for anyone’s solid “no”.
Don't know much about either of the possibilities, but it's possible that Lagoa's Cuban (Latina) heritage could account for the little extra demonrat support.
