I am so happy all those horrible storms are heading into the Gulf of Mexico instead of up the US coastline by Delaware.

Down here along the Gulf of Mexico, we aren't happy when spared by hurricanes. We are simply relieved, while concerned for the suffering by those affected elsewhere.

I am so sorry. I didn’t know you lived along the Gulf.

Maybe “happy” wasn’t the word to describe because as I heard the impending devastation about to come upon the Gulf and surrounding states, I felt so sorry.

We’ve had years when five straight hurricanes hit us along the east coast, both when I lived in Maryland and here in Delaware.

I kept hearing about Alabama getting hit. Don’t tell AB I said this but I had no idea Alabama was anywhere near any kind of body of water that would allow a hurricane to enter.

Hope all is well with you and still appreciate your efforts in helping all through some really bad weather.
