I actually remember when he did that. I was unhappy of course. But I also thought, how stupid. Does he not realize that a knife cuts both ways.
Same with “packing” the court. Some on the left say they will; well then when we are in power so will we. And the Supreme Court becomes weak and useless, leaving us with only the executive and legislative branches as “checks and balances.”
UNLESS by winning enough votes you put in the constitution that the SCOTUS shall be composed of 9 members. The the bar is raised to accomplishing court packing.
