Wait what? I thought it was supposed to move west. The storm has been meandering. The slight eastward motion was short lived. Beta is now creeping WNW at ~3 MPH.

Is it the shearing that’s causing it not to gain power?. It’s been sitting still and yet only maintaining 60 mph winds for 2 or 3 days. Certainly odd to see a storm sit still in the gulf and not gain power.
Surely the water temps can’t be that cool?
