So what’s this about what another Freeper posting that the Vile Mark Kelly could be sworn in on 11/30 if Martha McSally loses her seat. Is that true? According to what law (s)?

She was appointed to fill a vacancy until the next election. Hers is a special election, and her term ends when the new Senator is chosen.

In fact, the seat will open again in two years when its term ends, and Arizona gets to do it all over again.

No idea what that’s about. You can only swear in a Senator early if the seat is open. It could only be open if the person in it vacates it before the end of their term.
