It would be real easy to get their support. Nominate Kamala Harris.
Ain’t gonna happen - makes the election even more critical.
We won’t see a new SCOTUS Justice seated before spring 2021. Rinos will defeat anyone nominated.
If these three defect, they should abstain from voting - they can stand on their “principles” and not hurt the party to which they belong - the GOP will still have enough votes. For them to vote against a qualified nominee is not principled, unless they also believe that the nominee is unqualified. But for them to vote no in this situation undermines their whole argument - because they would voting before the election.
