Trump has called Bush’s invasion of Iraq, one of the “most disastrous foreign policy decisions” in US history. Trumps right. Bush and the “intelligence community” are wrong.
My main point was that the whole WMD thing was stupid. It sounded like a schoolboy’s excuse at the time. If you want to project force, do it. Don’t cloud things up with poll-tested malarkey about WMD’s. What if “gulp” the WMDs weren’t found? Oh noes!!!

I will yield the point to you on the inadvisability of the 2nd Iraqi invasion. Obviously the way it was prosecuted was nigh unto a debacle. If your expertise says it was a disastrous decision to invade, I will not disagree with you!
