The Rio Grande Valley will soon have more than 100 miles of new border wall in various cities.
The second highest ranking Border Patrol agent in the country visited the RGV to see the progress on border wall construction and tour with local agents...
Ortiz is no stranger to the RGV, previously being stationed in the valley for five and a half years, serving as the Deputy Chief for the sector.
This was a very problematic area here for me when I was the Deputy Chief down here and I can already tell you weve seen a dramatic drop in traffic here and thats because we dont have all the complete system in, we still dont have the gates, the lights, the camera system up, but just the barrier itself has already proved impactful, said Ortiz.
By October 30th, 2020, Customs and Border Protection plans to have completed 400 miles of new wall along the Southwest border.

Pres. Trump: PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT
Now peace agreements happening in the ME and Balkans, with others to follow IMHO. Who would have thunk it from a real estate businessman and reality show host? After all the failed attempts in the ME from multitudes of politicians over decades, it took a smarmy inarticulate straight shooter to fire things up.
Earlier discussing with the wife if Covid had not hit our booming economy, where would be at this moment? I suggested a DOW over 30,000 (think IRA and 401k), more jobs returning, more start up companies, more everything! We will get back to that once Trump is re-elected and the Covid scare is nil or gone. Unfortunately, many stores/shops are closed for good. However, I believe those spaces for lease will fill with new commerce.
The American can do spirit will brings us to even bigger heights.
It is finally coming along in the RGV.
Really did not start building down there until just this last November, and a few new projects are getting ready to start there soon, with the bollards piling up in storage yards.
Build baby build!
