U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Pacific Border District contractors install panels along difficult terrain at the San Diego 4 border barrier project near San Diego, California, Sept. 4. (2020)

This steep terrain was viewed as just too tough, and too expensive to build before President Trump. These "all new" miles are top of the line double barrier - there will be no more creeping through here at night when they are done.
Meanwhile the last of the secondary barrier in San Diego itself is heading for the Ocean, as they prepare to redo Friendship Park, down near the beach. San Diego City area will be nailed shut this year.

As the Border Wall System builds on ever tougher terrain, it means that the remaining routes for illegal crossers will be tougher still. These mighty bollards in their deep foundations, will also be swamped with technology, for approximately 100% detection.
The remaining miles between runs of bollards are being flooded with technology already, and by the end of next year, we will be approaching an operationally controlled Southern Border.
Thank you as always for your updates.
Very good news.
Now only if auntiefaz and BurnLootMurder would quit starting fires... (one is 3 miles from me in SW OR).
Just saw photos. AMAZING.
One minute video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luf-HGfGXx4
The terrain is so steep, that the vehicles must be secured by heavy chains to avoid sliding downhill, or tipping over.
Taking on the tough jobs.
“Now only if auntiefaz and BurnLootMurder would quit starting fires...”
Burning the downtown business districts was not enough to slake their demonic thirst to destroy...
You have quite a Web of new articles on this subject.
Is there anything on the GDP added per border state. Purchase dollars for steel (bollards and K-Rails) and concrete. Transportation dollars rail and trucking. Even iron ore mining and shipping to steel mills.
Some of this they probably want to keep quiet on to avoid disruptions.
No doubt this is why the mileage has been down. The terrain is tough compared the relatively flat land.
Have you seen this? (links would not open with Brave btw.)
The following is a collection of articles, tweets and videos that show many of the fires on the West Coast have been initiated by Arsonists
Incredible herculean task.
Sierra Club lawsuits stifling forest management has prevented fire breaks in large forests. They set the conditions that antifa took advantage of.
All the burnt plant and animal life is on them. Can they hear the mammals scream from squirrels to deer to moose and bear. 5 million acres burnt so far. Smoke has reached Europe.
Absolutely. Were it not for extreme forest mismanagement, primarily due to environazis and their lawyers, even arsonsists could not start these hellacious fires. It’s part of the revolution they plan.
I have a friend who works for the Forest Service in Eastern Oregon, who was very matter of fact that there is widespread arson involved.
I am still hoping that last week was an exception (holiday), and we will jump right back up to ten miles per week, or better. We need that kind of pace to to meet the 450 mile goal by the end of this year.
Last I heard, 49 projects were underway, so they should kind of average out.
A few projects are hitting steep terrain now in California and Arizona, and the miles in the Rio Grande Valley Sector of South Texas that require massive hurricane levee Wall System, are slow to build as well.
It is possible that some projects might be completing as well. Hopefully more of those 157 milesstill in pre-construction will start work soon.
I have not seen any articles or data on the economic stimulus from these shovel-ready jobs, but it is clearly going to have some boost - it is the biggest construction effort in the USA now.
There is some multiplier for the billions of dollars being spent, as they change hands several times for supplies, transportation and labor. Im sure those guys are working up a thirst out there, and are going to need a beer and a rubdown when they get back in town as well.
Wonder how much border business Caterpillar, Kenworth, BNSF are getting. The multiplier effect amplifies the dollars administered by Army Corps of Engineers.
Hope all supplies and operation services are American only.
With the high summer heat there must be staffed medical tents as well.
The steel is all American, and the volume is high enough to be a noticeable boost to the industry.
I dont think it is a real big economic driver beyond the local level and some niche industries, but it is a nice solid general boost - thousands of good paying jobs.
It’s incredible this year. More than ever before.
I wonder if the building of this wall will appear in the future on the tv show called “Mega Builders”???
